"A perfect race on a perfect
day..." 273
runners finished MBC's
5K Beer Run helped raise thousands of dollars and a lot
of awareness for prostate health and the Sparrow
Foundation Saturday, June 14th.
"This is now my absolute favorite race of the summer -
and a great way to get my Dad and my husband out to run
on Father's Day weekend," said Kim Sutton, an MSU grad'
student.
The race brought hundreds of
runners, volunteers, their families & friends to
MBC's
76,000 square foot brewery located in the
Webberville Business Park,
in Webberville, Michigan. The
runners once again ran the multi-terrain course, looping
around the business park, its pond and preserves.

MBC thanks all of the
2008 Beer Run sponsors who made this another fantastic
event: Playmakers, who provided the race expertise, the
music and stats; Merindorf Meats who provided all the
bratwurst - (and Mr. & Mrs. Merindorf, too!); Culvers
brought in the frozen m-m-m-m vanilla & chocolate
custard; J.America Sportswear pitched in for the t-shirt
artwork; Great Gazebo.com helped with banners and
signage and thanks to Wormels & Comstock PLLC and
Quality Maid.
And thanks to ALL the
volunteers, led by the Queen of Volunteers, Karen Eisele,
who came out to help everyone have a great time for a
great cause!
See y'all next year!
